What I Read in February 2020

We’re back with a list of what I read recently. I am definitely having a nonfiction streak (which is going strong into March). I took notes on all of them and learned a lot this month. As usual, all these books were borrowed from my local library.

Chasing the Sun: The New Science of Sunlight and How It Shapes Our Bodies and Minds, by Laura Geddes. This was really engaging and it made me want to go outside in the sun! Basically, we really need sunlight by day and we really need sleep at night.

The Chemistry of Connection: How the Oyxtocin Response Can Help You Find Trust, Intimacy, and Love, by Susan Kuchinskas. I loved this book. It’s highly readable and packed with information about the science of relationships.

Love Will Find You: 9 Magnets to Bring You and Your Soulmate Togetherby Kathryn Alice. This is a really out-there, law-of-attraction, New Age-y kind of guide to finding the right one, so it’s not for everyone…but I loved it. I totally committed myself to doing all the exercises and it was a lot of fun.

The Highly Sensitive Person in Love: Understanding and Managing Relationships When the World Overwhelms Youby Elaine Aron. Y’all detecting a February theme? I had high hopes for this book but it was kind of eh. The first and third chapter were helpful, though, and I’m glad I read them.

And that brings us to ten books down, forty to go for 2020.
