Because every so often, it’s good to have a little review…
Everything that happens is directly from Hashem and is part of the Master Plan. Everything Hashem does is for the ultimate good of each of us, whether we see it right away or not. No one knows better than Hashem what is good for you or for anyone else. Hashem is the only One Who knows the reasons things happen.
No one and nothing is stronger than Hashem. He can solve any problem or turn around any situation, even when it seems impossible. Nothing is too hard for Him. He is not limited by our understanding or by other people’s understanding.
Hashem tests His children with love, to help us become our greatest selves. He tests us for our good, “l’hotzi hadavar min hakoach el hapoel,” to bring our latent potential into reality (Ramban in Parsha Vayeira). He tests tzadikim because He wants their tefillos. He tests those He loves because He knows they can rise to the challenge and bring Him nachas.
Hashem is with you through every pain and challenge, whether you feel His presence or not. If He brings you to it, He brings you through it. Whatever you need to pass the test, you have.
Hashem created people to desire marriage because it is the divine relationship that pushes you past the limits of yourself every day. He does not make mistakes or forget about people.
The proper way to handle a test is with emunah and bitachon, tefillah, and proper hishtadlus. Each person does work in these areas in their own way.
Believing in generalities is the antithesis of emunah. Jews believe that every situation you find yourself in throughout life is tailor-made to bring out the very best in you. Anyone who believes differently does not understand how much Hashem loves and values them as an individual.
Anything people do or say to weaken your belief in any of the above is a test. Will you hold onto the emes in the face of opposition?
