How Was Pesach?

It’s hard to believe that we’re already on the other side of Yom Tov! This year has gone by so quickly — I remember writing in my journal in October that I had another 8 months left to the school year, and where have they gone? It’s been an interesting year with some unexpected developments and I feel that I’ve really lived itOrdinarily, this is the time of year when I’d start worrying about summer plans and feeling down about having to get through yet another summer — but this summer will be different because I’ll be back in school. Yup, I’ve officially decided to become a social worker and I’m so, so looking forward to starting class. (More on career decisions in a future post).

Now for a recap of Pesach:

In the couple of weeks before Yom Tov, I got such a bug to be making Yom Tov myself already! I totally participated in menu discussions at work (not that I actually helped too much in real life, lol).

For first days, I went to my aunt — just me, while my family stayed home. It was a good idea to get away; up until the last minute I wasn’t sure if I should go or not but I’m glad I did. We often overlook how badly we need a change until we actually make one, right? Over Yom Tov, I flipped through books on love and happiness and read both Rikki Ehrlich stories in Mishpacha 😉 .

One day of Chol Hamoed, my sister and I took a cousin to NYC to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge (yes, finally). We roved around Wall Street area and ended in Battery Park. I want to go on this carousel but not when the place is packed with frum families, ha!

For second days, my family (us single siblings and my parents) went to one of my married sisters. We never did that before! It was different in a nice way, and I love any time I get to spend with my nephews.

Now we’re getting back into the swing of things…Wishing you a great week!
