It’s almost Shabbos.
3:30 AM I wake up and can’t fall back to sleep for a long time, maybe 2 hours? Eventually I drift back off but wake up a few more times.
6:15 I wake up without an alarm. I’m not exactly well-rested. I stay in my bed for awhile, read blogs, attempt Wordle etc.
6:45 Get out of bed, get dressed.
7:00 Davening.
7:40 Yogurt (but of course), then put in a load of laundry, clean kitchen and bathroom, wash floors, take out the trash, put in a second load of laundry.
8:55 Text a friend about meeting for brunch. She can meet, but earlier, so I get ready to leave the house.
9:15 She picks me up. We go to the bagel store. It’s a really nice outing.
10:20 Back home, I finish writing and publish today’s post.
11:00 Start work (from home). I don’t get much done this hour.
12:00 More productive work.
2:00 Lunch break. Same cracker lunch as Tuesday. I am not so productive the rest of the time (scrolling imamother).
3:00 Back at my computer and the next 2 hours are a combination of calls and emails, scrolling, and reading Flourish by Martin Seligman. I would love to focus more on my reading but I keep getting distracted by checking work email. (This time of day is definitely not my most focused.)
5:00 Client. I have a break between sessions so start prepping supper (salmon and roasted eggplant) and daven mincha. My next client cancels so I finish making supper and video call my sister to see her kids.
7:00 Log off work and eat supper.
7:30 Draft a few blog posts, including this one.
8:15 Read Flourish.
9:10 Start getting ready for bed.
9:45 Lights out.
