I really look forward to our milchig Shavuos meal each year. This is the one milchig Yom Tov meal my family makes (although some of us are campaigning for more…) and it’s so good.
These are my two favorite recipes to make for Shavuos:
- white lasagna (You can swap out the ricotta for mid-fat cottage cheese, and the spinach for sliced mushrooms sauteed in butter. Credit for the substitutions goes to Tali Simon.)
- blueberry streusel cheesecake (frozen blueberries work well)
We generally stick to a similar menu each year. We’ll have Greek salad, salmon side, the lasagna, and quiches. We’ll also have iced coffee with the cheesecake.
Here are a few more cheesecake recipes that look delicious:
- pecan pie cheesecake
- carrot cake marbled cheesecake
- berry cheesecake galette (I imagine this could work with other types of berries)
- cappuccino cheesecake
- strawberry layer cheesecake
- apple cinnamon cheesecake
Do you have any Shavuos favorites?
