What am I missing? What are your favorite Yom Tov foods?
This is actually quite a help! You’ve got so many good ideas listed here. Did you have actual recipes in mind when writing this up? Because I’d love to hear more about the Sesame Cabbage Salad (Meal #2) and the Autumn Salad (Meal #4). Thanks!
G’mar chasima tova!!
Hey, I’m so glad!! I mostly had actual recipes in mind, yes! For the cabbage salad I was thinking of adapting either the crunchy coleslaw from Kosher by Design (probably omitting the ramen) or the cashew-spinach coleslaw from KBD Short on Time (omitting the cashews because they are also in the chicken). Re the autumn salad, this is based on something my roommate made years ago that was so good – I think it was kale, quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes, caramelized onions, roasted chickpeas, candied walnuts, and honey-mustard dressing. I found this link, that looks like it: https://pinchofyum.com/quinoa-sweet-potato-salad. Hope this helps! Gmar chasima tova!
I’d love the recipe for the lemon meringue tart. Thanks!
In this imagined menu scenario, my sister was going to pick that up at Ostrovitsky’s bakery in Flatbush!
