I wanted to get a really special wedding gift for my friend who is getting married soon but I couldn’t think of just the right thing. Nothing I thought of felt original or personal enough. Inspiration hit a couple of weeks ago: how about making her a book? Not strictly a cookbook, but more like a collection of advice and tips from the people closest with her.
I sent out an email to her friends from all different areas of her life, asking each to send me an easy recipe, a practical tip, and some wisdom for life. The responses were varied and so terrific! I really enjoyed reading what other people had to share with the kallah.
I laid out all the text in an 8×8″ book in Shutterfly, using this watercolor theme. To keep things clean and simple, each friend got their own two-page spread. It was easy to customize and edit the book for my purposes, using text templates and editing tools.
The kallah got the book this week, and she absolutely loved it. I’m so happy. 🙂
