I feel like Purim has just crept up on me. I guess that’s a good thing, because it means spring will be here before we know it.
A thought for Purim, something I heard a little while ago from Mrs. Dina Schoonmaker. The megillah is relatively short, and even as we listen, we know there’s nothing to be afraid of because it all turns out well in the end. But for the people living the actual Purim story, it took years and they had no idea what would happen. We get the “abridged” version, but those living it did not. The same is true of our life stories. In Shomayim, there is an abridged version of your story — the opening, rising action, climax and resolution. We are living the story, so we don’t get to flip to the end and see how it will all turn out. But the ending is already written and your neshama knows what it is and is happy with that ending.
Have a really nice Purim. Take it easy and enjoy the goodies 😉 All the best.
Such a nice idea, thanks for sharing!
