Everything

This week I saw Riverdance at Radio City Music Hall. I recognize how fortunate I am to have the time and money for an activity like this. I also recognize that this is not something everyone would do (time and money aside) and I totally respect that. I ask myself sometimes if it’s the right call for me to share about some of my cultural adventures, knowing that they’re at least a question mark from a religious standpoint. It’s something I’ve decided to share because they’re a part of my life right now and part of what helps me cope with my challenges. So it wouldn’t be a complete picture of how I navigate “older singlehood” without including them.

That being said, the show was magnificent. I literally cried from sheer amazement at the level of talent and skill people can have. And I felt immense gratitude for being able to enjoy the show. That is a takeaway for me from this experience. The awareness of my unearned good fortune was so acute. I can see. I can hear. I have everything in the world.
