I seem to have titled several blog posts recently with directives (make your younger self proud, trust yourself, do things after work). So I will end off the week with one more: have a restful Shabbos. I don’t know about you, but it’s been a long week for me. Always so much going on. I’m grateful to be busy with good things and also know that I want to carve out more rest time. More space. It’s a worthy goal, maybe one could say that it is crucial, yet so hard for me to attain.
My supervisor told me today that sometimes she hesitates to ask if I’m available to do something at work because she knows I’m a “yes person” and liable to agree to too much. That is so true. I definitely felt seen. And I keep getting reminders of this and it’s clear to me that Hashem wants me to learn how to say no. That’s a work in progress. Thankfully, Shabbos says no for us every week.
B”H for Shabbos. I hope you have a good one.
